Internet Marketing - Internet Marketing Roadmap -Traffic Generation Part 1

Before i start on today topic, i want to know if anyone of you after reading my previous few posts did put it to good use and create something out of it? If so, do put your blog or website links here (only genuine link with contents, not spam links as i will not tolerate this) as a comment in this post and i will review it for you totally free, how about that?

Today topic is my favourite as the real essence of Internet Marketing is to generate traffic to your site. No use having the best product in the world with the best designed website or blog but no traffic at all. There won’t be any sales conversion with low or no traffic.  Below are some avenue for you all to generate traffic:

• Article Marketing

This is a good method as this can build long term traffic to your sites but the only thing is that it will take a fair bit of time to generate high traffic. I had done Article Marketing eversince before i started Internet Marketing. I published my articles to the local papers like Straits Times, Today, Human Resources Magazine and UniSIM Today’s Manager etc. You can read my articles at Success Route. It does provide a lot of traffic and coverage about yourself and you can brand yourself as an expert for that!

Hold it! You might be thinking you can’t write well or don’t know how to write articles, right? Fret not, if you can’t write, you can hire people to write for you and it doesn’t cost much. Below are some resources where you can get people to write for you:

- Scriptlance

- Workaholics4hire

- Elance

Other resources will be forums where you can go to the jobs/classified page, post an ad looking for a writer or you can approach undergraduate students to write for you. Hint: Find students who are studying Psychology as a major as they are good at researching topics and are well trained in that. Most people who can’t write be it experienced or inexperienced marketer will definitely find a psychology student to do the writing for them.

• Forum Marketing 

This is another one of my favourites way of getting traffic. You can actually direct traffic from a high traffic forum to your site. There are tonnes of forums around with very high traffic, all you need to do is to sign+up, make some relevant post and post your url link in your signature too. One good way is to use the problem and solution technique whereby you post a problem as your message post while you put your solutions as your signature.
