Internet Marketing - Self Hosted Blogs

For people who are new to blogging scene, i would strongly suggest you to start using free blogs like Blogger or Wordpress for a feel of how is it like to blog. Although it is free, it doesn’t mean you can write any crap contents on it. You still can write on the things you wanted to start for your blog career as the contents can be imported to the self hosted blog in the later stages.

As i posted in my previous post about if you are really serious about using your blog to earn some income, then it is advisable to use self hosted blog. Do this only when you are already familiarized with your free blog and you think it is time to make a step further.

4. You can backup your blog whenever your want it. Backing up your blog is an important task to do as i am very sure you don’t want to lose all your valuable posts and start all over again. Free blogs don’t provide backing up of your own blog.

6. You can create domain emails like : support@yourdomain.com or yourname@yourdomain.com etc. With these emails, you can manage your different categories of clients easier. It beats using free emails like yahoo, gmails or msn.

7. SEO target more easily. Whatever SEO strategies you used, you will be building around your own domain name. This can let the search engines crawled your websites with ease. Having a free blog url will definitely make it difficult for search engine spiders to crawl as it is not owned by you and it might associate your blog to those who are being banned.
