Unleash Your Marketing Genius

Next Friday will be another energy and knowledge recharging time for me! Yes, i will going for another seminar to boost up my internet marketing knowledge! This time will be Stephen Pierce’s Unleash Your Marketing Genius seminar at Kuala Lumpur from 28th sept 2007 - 1st Oct. I signed up this course after some rave reviews by my friends who attended the Singapore version in April this year.

I am very excited about this trip as i get to know more people and yet i can learn top class knowledge from Stephen Pierce. Mind you, i will be learning from a guy who generated 100 thousand dollars for the Feed The Children campaign challenge at the World Internet Summit Singapore in May this year!

I will be going there 1 day earlier so that i got time to tour around Kuala Lumpur. Although this is not the first time i been there but during the previous visits, most of the time i am there just to visit some friends and never really have time to go around the place.

It will definitely be a knowledge thrilling event and i will be definitely looking forward to it!

    Hi Dave Wong,

I will be there too. Remember to say ‘Hi’ when we have the opportunity to meet up.

    Thanks.

  2. Clarisse Says:

Hi. I am also attending the UYMG here in Kuala Lumpur. We bought the package in Singapore at World Internet Marketing in May. I’ve been expecting to have a lot of hands on during the workshop but I’m very diappointed because instead of doing hands on, we’re here to just listen to a lot of presenters. Too bad! My expectations are hign and some presenters underlivered. I’m not gonna buy another package anymore.

  3. Steven Goh Says:

Agree. I find it very useful and it changes my view on internet marketing.

  4. Joy Says:

UYMG was a disappointing event. It was just an over-rated, over-priced and under-delivered repeat of World Internet Summit event minus the laptop. Laptops weren’t even used to its fullest capacity. It was only used for taking down notes. Internet connection sucks. Speakers were just average. Nobody even got a standing ovation. I felt ripped off.

  5. Dave Wong Says:

    Hi Joy,
Sometimes we got to look on the positive side of things. Although there are lots of upselling of courses from each speaker, i can say i do learned alot of strategies and tactics which i can and will used in my internet marketing campaign.

Most internet marketing seminars organized by these gurus are mainly talking about more of business and internet marketing strategies, hardly you will see any hands-on as they assume you already got these basic knowledge.

    Hi Dave:

Agree with Clarisse and Joy that UYMG is disappointing. I attended UYMG S’pore back in March 2007 and experienced the same — a pitch fest of presenters giving a few tips here and there, with a major focus on selling the audience more courses and materials.

While it’s true that there are things to learn, the problem is you pay good money for what is supposed to be a hands-on workshop with step-by-step techniques for the beginner.

Dave, I’m all for positive thinking but you can see why UYMG is a problem.

    All best

    Kelvin

Oops! Wanted to also share that the sessions led by Stephen Pierce were awesome. Just wished he did more during the 4 days.
