The good thing about WordPress is that you can install lots of wonderful plugins that can make your life easier. Personally i had listed out the top 10 plugins that i think is important to all WordPress blogger.
 1. WordPress Database Backup - Backing up is an important habit to do if you don’t want all your posts to get obliterated in the cyberspace. Once installed with WordPress, it provides an easy way to backup your WordPress database. You can download the backup file or have it emailed to the address of your choice.
2. Google Sitemaps – This plugin will automatically create a Google compliant sitemap of your WordPress blog to ensure that all of your pages are indexed in Google. This is one plugin you definitely don’t want to be without.
3.  Akismet – If you run a blog, then you need this plugin.Fortunately, it comes preinstalled with WordPress. Popular blogs get hundreds of spam comments every day. Akismet helps eliminate this problem. Don’t waste your time deleting spam comments. Akismet will automate the entire process with ease by running hundreds of tests on your comments, trackbacks, and pingbacks to ensure their validity.
4. WP-Notable – Add social bookmark links such as digg or del.icio.us and a list of other social bookmarking sites to each of your blog post. It can generate more traffic to your blog by using social bookmarking.
5. AutoMeta: This plugin automatically generates HTML Meta Tags and Technorati Tags based on the full text of your post. This is great as it allows tags to be customised per post which will help with search engine listings.
6. Contact Form - Add a contact form to any post or page so that user can contact you easily. You can also customize the fields to capture the sender details.
7. WP-Cache – An extremely efficient WordPress page caching system to make your site much faster and responsive. It works by caching Worpress pages and storing them in a static file for serving future requests.  Â
8. Ultimate Tag Warrior - Ultimate Tag Warrior is a very useful plugin which allows you to add tags to your posts. A menu will be added below the ‘write new post’ form. You can either add tags manually or let Yahoo choose them for you.
9. Ultimate Google Analytics -If you love stats, and who doesn’t, then you’ll love Google Analytics. It crunches numbers like you’ve never seen numbers crunched before. There are pie-charts, bar-charts, and funky little maps that tell you how many people from different locations are visiting your site. Best of all, it’s free!
The Ultimate Google Analytics plugin automatically inserts the tiny bit of code that allows Google to count all your visitors and create all those lovely charts. It also allows tracking of outgoing links and downloads, which some of the other Google Analytics plugins don’t.
10. . Feedburner Feed Replacement – Feedburner is a great RSS feed publishing tool, and this plugin makes it a hell-of-a-lot easier to link the wordpress feed to your feedburner account.
